Terms of Use

1. Service

Whakarite provides software that helps patients post anonymous therapy requests and therapists offer sessions. We are not a healthcare provider and do not practice therapy through this platform.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep credentials secure, and be at least 16 (or the age required by your clinician relationship / guardian arrangements — confirm with counsel). Therapists must hold appropriate NZ credentials and complete verification.

3. Acceptable use

Do not harass others, post identifying patient details on the board, scrape the directory, attempt to bypass security controls, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

4. Fees

Patients are not charged by Whakarite for matching. Therapists may owe a platform fee after a completed matched lead as described in-product. Stripe processes payments under Stripe's terms.

5. Content

You are responsible for messages and profile content you submit. We may remove content that violates these terms or safety policies.

6. Disclaimer

The platform is provided “as is” for matching. Clinical outcomes are between patient and therapist. For emergencies in NZ dial 111 or contact 1737.

7. Privacy

Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Contact the Privacy Officer listed on that page for access or correction requests. See also our Cookies notice.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
